How does it work?
I teach you - or your child - online for a 45 minute lesson, as often as you like, via Zoom, Skype, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
What do I need?
You will need a computer with a web camera. I share screens and have a chat window open - and you might need to type something occasionally too - so you’ll need a screen big enough to show all of that.
I use my own worksheets tailored to your requirements, supplemented by the excellent series of textbooks ‘English for Everyone’ from DK (Dorling Kindersley). We can see which books in the range suit you best after the first couple of lessons, so there’s no need to buy them immediately.
If you’re an advanced learner booking conversational English, the textbooks may not be so critical for you.
Do I need to do homework?
Yes! It’s really important to spend some time doing some self-study in between lessons. This isn’t school though, so I won’t tell you off if you don’t do it (but I will judge you). I can set you homework to help cement what you have learned during your lesson, and can offer plenty of extra resources to help you learn, from books to web quizzes and from podcasts to television.
How do I book a lesson?
First we’ll make arrangements by email to have a video chat to establish exactly how I can help you. Then I’ll send you a special secret link to the online booking system so you can book your first lesson for half the usual price. After that, bookings are made via the booking page.
Why are your prices in SEK?
My prices are in Swedish kronor as the majority of my clients are based in Sweden. PayPal and Stripe (for cards) will do the currency conversion for you. Because the exchange rate changes a little every day, the price might be a few pence/cents different each time you book.
My company is paying for my lessons - how does that work?
I can send the company an invoice. Your finance people may like to know I’m a registered sole trader (enskild näringsidkare) for income tax and moms (VAT) in Sweden and am a sole trader (VAT-free) in the UK. I can invoice and accept payment in multiple currencies. including GBP, EUR and SEK.
I think my English is pretty good. It’s just my speaking/writing/listening/reading…
That’s normal! We all have strengths and weaknesses. Let’s have a (free) video chat and we can talk about it. Drop me a line at hello (at) englishiseasy.co.uk. I cover in-depth what I can do for you here, or your child here, but we can focus on a specific area, have conversation-only lessons (those are a little cheaper, too), go over general English, tricky grammar, business English, science terminology, or pronunciation. I’m here to help.
