Children

If your child is struggling to keep up at school, or is losing interest because the lessons are too easy, I can help!

Helping your child to catch up

I can offer help with school homework, take your child back to cover the basics, or start teaching a complete beginner from scratch.

You’re welcome to sit with your child if you think they may need emotional support or help to stay focussed, but it’s perfectly normal to leave them to it, just as you would at school.

My colourful, child-friendly worksheets for younger children complement the DK Junior textbook. All material used in the lesson is placed into either a Google (Classroom) Drive or Teams folder for you to download and refer to whenever you need. Homework isn’t obligatory, but highly recommended to make the most of the lessons. I’ll send you a list of exercises to undertake after each lesson. These could be worksheets or textbook chapters to complete, videos to watch, books to read, pronunciation sounds to practice, quizzes to play or flashcards to practice on.

Advanced tuition

It’s easy for a child who excels at school to become bored and stop paying attention in lessons. These students can be at risk of ultimately falling behind, as they do not realise they are starting to miss things they didn’t know. It’s also very common to be very advanced in speaking and listening, but actually be comparatively behind in reading and writing. I can help your child to level-up across all areas, or provide more stimulating lessons, delve into literature, critiquing, offer more intricate grammatical concepts, metaphors, idioms and more.
